As you might have already read in the earlier posts, I stated that I personally had to deal with the ylod ps3 problem (ylod = yellow light of death). But there are many people out there, who have all kinds of other errors and this post will give you a couple of tips to fix a specific one – THE RED SCREEN to be precise!

Ps3 Red Screen Nightmare

  • Let´s talk about this problem for a second!  One of my dear friends had this specific problem and he tried out a lot of things to get it fixed (this one can be worse than the ylod ps3 headache I had).  You can start of by trying the old method of simply turning your ps3 off and back on again or just reset you’re the damn thing. Put your playstation into standby mode and be patient until you see the red light! After seeing it just press and keeping holding the ps3 button for 3 or more seconds (you will probably here 2 beeps or something like that).
  • CAUTION THOUGH: This may affect the data on your ps3 (never heard that it actually happened before but you who knows´….
  • Let´s come to the next option… be sure that you console if turned off and pull out the cables (except for the power cable of course) and stick them back in again. It sometimes happens that the cables were attached very loosly.
  • ATTENTION: If all the above options failed then you have to get the BIG GUNS out. For this method you will absolutely need a good guide ( check this one out AFFILIATE LINK… it just awesome and helped me a lot with my ylod ps3 issue). Using the guide you will carefully open you’re the case of the console, unplug the hard drive and plug it back in again! This should work !!!( if not just follow the other guidelines in the manual and I will be very optimistic that you will get it done correctly

YLOD PS3 Fix – Here Are Some Simple Guidelines

So here is my second post that will give you some guidelines on how to fix the ylod ps3 issue…

 

Now if you were just as lucky as I was, then your Ps3 crashed when you reached the apex of the game you were playing. I remember how much it sucked when that happened to me… as I said in the very first post of this blog, I was forced to pause the game because the doorbell rang. When I came back the freaking console just died on me and all of the typical ylod ps3 “signs” were obvious.

Any Hopes for the YLod Ps3 Trouble I had???

 

Trying to turn my baby back on, wouldn´t change anything… no matter how hard I tried. The ylod ps3 trouble still remained! Personally I searched for solutions on the internet and called Sony to help me fix the yellow light of death. The dudes at the Sony center did give me some advice but nothing really valuable that has helped me solve the problem. At the end of the phone call they wanted me to send my console (in order to take care of the ylod ps3 issue…)

I just hung up the phone because I just could not believe that they wanted to charge 150$ for the service. That is of course only if your warranty expired (I was really that lucky). The only thing I knew was that there were other solutions out there to repair the ylod! My main concern was to save money and to get that stupid thing fixed as soon as possible. I was by all means ready to open it up myself and investigate the case, so to say!

I would definitely recommend doing it by yourself because it is very easy… but only if you got the right guide! I will write an honest review about the product I have used in a couple of days, so if I were you I would be on the lookout for it.

Let me just say that repairing your PS3 is similar to repairing a PC. If you have ever installed hardware into a computer case yourself than it will be very easy for you to do the same for your beloved PS3… trust me! Fixing the ylod ps3 issue is really nothing to complicated!

 

I will give you some very basic guidelines:

-          Initially I would try my best to check out if there are any obvious problems you could fix right away( by obvious I mean stuff like disconnected cables, restarting the console etc.). Just be sure that all the cables are plugged in, then turn it off and back on again. If the ylod ps3 problem is still there, then proceed to the next step

-          For this step you will need a decent guide ( Read the post on the top of the page to get the” best” one out there)

-          You would basically open the hardware and take all of the necessary stuff apart. It is very important that you remember how to put everything back into its place ( The PS3 Light Fix guide will make sure that you don´t mess this up)

-          Be 100% sure that you have enough light to see exactly what you are doing there; additionally I would clean up everything in the area

-          There are many tricky parts when removing certain pieces, so it would be quite “stupid” just rushing into the entire process of fixing the ylod ps3 trouble without a decent guide…

 

The most important thing is to do is smart!!!

YLod PS3 Issue – My Personal Story

Let me introduce myself with this first post and tell you a little about my story with the YLOD PS3 Problem I experienced! YLOD stand for yellow light of death in case you don´t know…

 

My name is Chris Madden and I am a 21 year old guy, who loves to play the heck out of a good PS3 game. Damn, I really do not know how many valuable hours I have sat in front of my TV playing all sorts of games! I could probably list up at least one game for each alphabet icon wink YLod PS3 Issue My Personal Story

How the YLOD PS3 problem happened…

Anyways, I GLORIOUS day I was on a Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 killing spree; the game literally absorbed me J. Well, suddenly I heard the doorbell ring and it was my mom telling me to pick up something from the garage! After 5 min I returned back to my room and saw that the screen was completely black! I feared that it could be the ylod ps3 issue…

Oh S***!

I was scared as hell and I noticed that there was a red light blinking on my playstation and from there on I knew immediately that I was screwed! A friend of mine had the YLOD PS3 issue about 2 month before and he sent it for repair! (Cost him 150$)

So, when i pressed the power button the PS3 beeped one time and the light was completely red. Once I pressed it again, the light turned green and the fans started making some noise! But just a few seconds later the fan shut down and there we go: I am presented with the famous YLOD PS3 problem. After that the light started blinking red once more and the freaking PS3 gave me three “stupid” and the red light maintained.

What was I supposed to do with the YLOD PS3 problem???

Man, I can assure you that I felt like crap that day! That console was literally my life and now I had to go and look for a solution to fix the yellow light of death issue as fast as possible. I didn´t want to pay 150$, like my friend to let those “a**holes” of sony repair the thing and I was not ready to buy a whole new PS3. I knew there were cheaper ways to fix ylod on my ps3, even if I had to open it myself!

In a few upcoming posts I will tell you exactly how I was able to save loads of money and repair the ps3 all by myself in less than 1 hour. And honestly, it was very easy work to fix ylod ps3! There was nothing complicated about it and I can only recommend it to anyone, who isn´t that lazy to use a screwdriver!
